This policy applies to information we collect on sites and applications owned or controlled by A Job Thing or its affiliated companies (“A Job Thing”).A Job Thing is not responsible for the data use practices of ad networks, other parties with whom we work with to provide you personalized services, or those who access your information on our sites or applications.

We collect the personal information you choose to provide us. We also collect non-personal information about you, which includes demographic information and how you use and interact with A Job Thing. We may also acquire information about you from third parties to further personalize and enhance your experience.

Our services include showing you personalized content and advertising on A Job Thing or other sites with which we have a business relationship. How We Store Your Information
We store your information to make your interaction with A Job Thing more efficient, practical, and relevant. You may review, update, or delete the personal information you share with us at any time by accessing your account. When you delete your personal information, we will retain logs and non-personal information about you along with an archival copy of your information, which is not accessible by you or third parties on the Internet. If your personal information was previously accessed by others using A Job Thing, we are unable to delete the information from their systems. You may turn off cookies. This will adversely affect your use of A Job Thing.
Your acceptance of these terms
Agensi Pekerjaan Ajobthing was founded in 2013 as Brightan System. We are a recruitment solutions specialist, and our signature product, the Maukerja job portal, was created in the same year.
How We Start?
The idea for Ajobthing was developed when we realised that businesses struggle to source blue-collar and non-executive workers that represented almost 36% of the working population. Most job portals in the market are targeted to the English-speaking community and focuses on hiring executive roles.
Our job platforms are a response to the realization that language has always been a barrier for job-seekers to use existing job portals in the market, so we started Maukerja for the Bahasa Malaysia-speaking community. Ricebowl.my was launched a year after Maukerja, upon seeing an increase in demand from the Mandarin-speaking community.
In 2018, Ajobthing’s product Maukerja was awarded the Best Job Portal in the Asia Recruitment Awards.

HOW OUR RECRUITMENT PLATFORM WORK?
Employers using Ajobthing can manage and recruit job applicants using our dashboard, to perform actions such as chatting with applicants, shortlisting candidates, bulk messaging, and more. Employers can also view and track their hiring performance using our analytic reports.
How many job can be posted?
An average of 47,000 job vacancies are posted each month, and each job post on Ajobthing receives an average of 30 applications. How we are unique in our job ad offering is that employers can select multiple languages for their job description, in order to target job speakers fluent in the specific language.
How job seeker find jobs?
Ajobthing’s job portals Maukerja, Ricebowl, and Internsheeps, meet job seekers wherever they are: we have presence on all channels including social media – where we enjoy active engagement with over 2 million followers on popular platforms – and our informative blog content with job search and career tips draws thousands of readers daily.
The portals are available as mobile apps, and easily searchable online. Job seekers can select the language they are most comfortable using on the respective platforms.
How company find candidates?
Our intelligent talent matching system recommends the best matching candidates for every job posted with us. Employers can also find talent using our People Search feature, where they can input their specific requirements such as nationality, languages, education qualifications and more, to search the top matching candidates from our database. Employers can also view the individual matching score of every applicant to their job post.

In just 4 years, Ajobthing’s job portals have attracted over 20 million unique visitors. As of 2018, we have over 1.7 million registered job seekers in our database, enjoying a 50% year-on-year increase since the year we began.
