How the data was collected

The report also includes information on job openings posted online by employers, broken down by occupation type and profile, location, skills, the field of study, and other factors.

Meanwhile, the data on advertised job vacancies was gathered using the Big Data Analytics application and was not intended to provide actual numbers or absolute statistical benchmarks like those provided by the key monthly labour statistics.

Mohd Uzir said that the increase in online job vacancies advertised in 2Q21 has shown that Malaysia's economy is on the right track of recovery in the coming quarters, if the implementation of the National Recovery Plan succeeds in reducing the impact of the pandemic and facilitating the country's economic recovery.
