Socso's Health Screening Program (HSP) is a benefit that aims to promote healthy lifestyles and identify high-risk categories of employees with non-communicable diseases.

The fundamental objective of the Health Screening Program is the growing number of workers who are confirmed to be invalid due to lifestyle illnesses (34% from invalidity pension and 49% from survivors' assistance). Workers can use the health screening programme to assess their risk of such diseases and seek appropriate treatment to prevent illness and complications.

Such an intervention would have a favourable effect that encourages experienced workers to remain at their jobs and boosts productivity, fostering a thriving business climate and boosting the country's economy.

The Relaunch of Socso's Health Screening Programme

Socso has improved HSP 2.0 by updating health screening parameters by incorporating mental health screening and family health risk assessment to guarantee that the programme remains favourable and relevant for employees.

According to Socso figures, 3.6 million workers are entitled to free health screening under the HSP, and 576,902 have undergone this screening.
