Yesterday, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) had launched e-Payroll, a new upgrade in the i-Akaun (employer) portal. The payroll system helps employers manage their statutory obligations, including EPF contribution.
In a statement, EPF said e-Payroll provides a secure and smooth experience for employers, highlighting automated statutory deduction calculations and contributions to regulatory bodies.
1. What is EPF's e-Payroll?

3. Does e-Payroll include other HR software functions?

There are two requirements to use e-Payroll:
5. What are e-Payroll's benefits?

You do not need to download or install any software. You can access the e-Payroll through i-Akaun (Employer) from computers (browser).
7. Can employers make direct payments to other agencies through e-Payroll?
No. e-Payroll automatically generates data files electronically and provides links to statutory agency websites such as LHDN and SOCSO for mandatory contribution payments.
8. Can users start utilising e-Payroll in the middle of the year?
Yes. EPF strongly encourages new e-Payroll users who have just signed up for e-Payroll to process their payroll from the previous months starting January of the current year until the current month. The reason is to generate an accurate income tax calculation and EA form for the year.
9. How long will e-Payroll store the payroll data?
For the employer's reference, EPF's e-Payroll keeps the data for seven years.
